There are many reasons why you may need to be CHAS registered and accredited, but the one compelling reason is that it allows you to work in both the public and private sector.

One question that gets asked a lot is ‘how much is CHAS?’ and why is there a CHAS accreditation fee? The answer is not one figure.

So what is the answer?
CHAS falls into two basic camps, 1-4 employees and 5+ employees. As you would expect more documentation is needed for a larger company.�

The next consideration is whether you have all the documentation. Meaning if you have been through health safety training for your company, you may have all the documents already. But a lot of companies don’t and this is where they come unstuck.

That’s why you see companies like ours and others helping you get CHAS accreditation and why you are wondering about the CHAS accreditation fee.

The hard work is getting the form filled in correctly first time and to the degree that keeps the CHAS governing body happy. We have heard of some compaines doing it themselves and taking 2 weeks to get everything in place. Surely you would agree that this is waste of your time and efforts.

The form filing is different every time because not every company is the same.

The CHAS governing body charge for the certificate is

£210 + VAT for 5+ employees

£140 + VAT for 1-4 employees

The certificate you have to pay for, and this has to be paid to the governing body directly.
