HSE clampdown to improve construction site safety in West Yorkshire

The family of a Dewsbury decorator, who died from long-term injuries suffered in a fall from an unsuitable ladder, is backing a new inspection initiative aimed at reducing death and injury on building sites. In a week-long drive from today (21 February), inspectors from the Health & Safety Executive will be visiting sites in Kirklees and Wakefield where refurbishment or repair works are being carried out.
